*You do not have to sign up for every class; only those in which
you are interested. Each class is approximately 2 hours long.
To sign up, please stop by the Reference Desk at the Library or
call 928-0256. The charge for each class is $5. Please pay in
advance.

Introduction to Computers
This class offers introductory
instruction on what a computer is and how to use it. The class is
designed for the true beginner with little or no knowledge of
computers. The student will learn about Windows and how to create,
save and print files with special concentration on using the mouse.
Class size is limited, so please call ahead.

Mouse Tutorials
This class focuses on moving around
in Windows and finding files on the hard drive and disk drives. You
will also learn how to change the screen saver and wallpaper on your
computer.
Introduces the student to Microsoft Word, a word processing
program. The student will learn to change fonts, cut and paste
and do many other things in Microsoft Word. Prerequisites:
Ability to use the mouse and some previous computer knowledge.
Introduction to Computers would be helpful, but not necessary.

This class introduces you to the Internet. You will learn
how to find information on the Internet using searching search
engines and directories. You will also learn about the program
Internet Explorer and how to use some of its features.

AARP: Computers and
Technology
This section of the AARP website includes guides for buying a
computer, reviews of computer accessories and programs as well as
guides for using your computer and the Internet. The presentation is
simple and easy to understand.
